Morning everyone, i love what i am making and how about you?
So... missing the day in Melbourne and people there, and so happy with them because they've their teddy bear fair today. As the previous blog attached, i participate a pincushion challenge and now would like to share with you the final outcome. I wish someone will bring them home and raise money for the Woodbury Autism Education Research.
Here comes the Pear Peer... you are no more alone...

the scent of fruit?
this is a really solid red, so i try to 'pick out' some color of it, have used the bleach detergent, but guess what? ouch, the strong smell!
therefore, i have bought him a packet of fragrance, make him sleep with this "sandalwood rose" for 3 weeks. ah, he got an appealing smell... and now he is much more welcome with other bear girl friends :D

other crafty ideas to work on
hello my friends, after five hard working days, any plan for the coming weekend?
i do have a visit the BAO blog http://bearartistsonline.blogspot.com/ to see the nominee result, can't see any hints of my work ;(
anyway, i still got some ideas for my later design, will show you guys once finished.
here, i would like to suggest some crafty project to work on, pincushion.
http://teddybearfairs.com.au/prestashop/cms.php?id_cms=10
not only for oneself, but for the message to raise people awareness over this 2 organizations:
1.Bricks for Bears 2. Woodbury autism education & research
you can choose which charity you would like to support, i choose the second one as i understand children's development is really crucial to their future life not only autism but to those, one of my kid, suffering from learning difficulties too.
i wish i can do more but some commission bear are lining up plus one more online show is coming...

the making of theme board
I' ve finished the submission of 2 entries on the ACD award for a week, there' re few days for me to pack and organize those lovely swatches and experiment which i want to keep them for my reference.
Therefore, i made these 2 theme board:
the first entry named Miss Potter, she is a rabbit based on the real life of Beatrix Potter, from her favorite hobby, drawing since she was a child to her favorite issue, study of fungi. I learn from her perspective in observation, those markings and strokes are incorporated into my design, finally, i drew and the tiny little sketchbook with fabric cover was born...
the second entry name Jemima, is a girl bear, i was totally attracted by the story, Jemima Puddle duck. May i share this unfortunate poor mommy duck. First of all, i don't agree Jemima is a kind of foolish character, rather i think she is a desperate duck wish to hatch her own eggs, so uneasy to protect the tiny little life. She is innocent and helpless which ends up with a tolerate tragedy.
But what i think, Beatrix wants the little reader learn to have a positive mind to encounter difficulties: strangers, seek for help , how to face the loss from reality and the courage together with patience after the misfortune.
Moreover, i try to highlight Potter's value over the preservation of agriculture, she devoted more thoughts and efforts on the farmland, Hill Top, the English Lake District, those fantasy character animals were born over there, the simple and quiet banal style of living was deeply rooted in my mind.
sorry, i still have to wait for the permission of attaching a copy of a photo of the English Lake District as the blank bottom of the theme board...
