Salute to Beatrix Potter
Haven't post new photos for quite a while, blue mood these days of the glabal issue but my hands still work on this little rabbit everyday. It's really interesting when i was ironing the ear pieces, as the cotton fabric makes the alpaca stands, soft to touch plus it stay thin compare to my initial idea of using felt.
And now she needs certain accessories on her head, work in progress...:)
Here, i can only show certain pieces before the Australian Creative Design award starts.

reading time: Beatrix Potter
i really don't know much about Beatrix Potter, then start to do some studies on her biograph, and got the book as previously posted. and yes, you would be amused by those delicate drawings, which were her studies on the nature of fungi, and it seems i am going together with her microscope and day by day recording the growth on the living species. Drawings captured on different angles, composition, and her perspectives towards mycology, families in fungi. i like her drawings and this can be traced from her artist inspiration from Randolph Caldecott.
Below, you can have an idea of his work:

if you are interested in this, see this link: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/18360/18360-h/18360-h.htm
lots of fun to read this aloud with small kids :>
there is another small children's book by Beatrix that she got the influence from his drawings:
