Wish to say thank you to my dearest mum's upbringing and caring.
I print out those beautiful scenario during our last visit of the floral market together with a drawing from my latest nominated dressed bear: Pandy May, at the Glaserner Teddybar contest 2012.
To my surprise, the certificate i received has my bear's image on it and i love the prize, they are mohair from Lou's Bear.

Fukushima - 2 years

This is my recent drawing of a panda mother and her child.
It starts from the news i read from our local news report. It has been 2 years since the earthquake, tsunami attack Japan.We can see that ceremonies held in different nations, reports on reconstruction and rebuilding progress keep on going by the contribution of all level of efforts.
One of the news reported that about a family at Fukushima. There is a nurse (池田美千子)working at a care center for elderly, she exposed to radiation and discovered her pregnancy after this incident. After 2 years, this baby boy is healthy.
I was touch by this and really wish the next generation stay positive to the future. Enjoy the family time.
In March, April and May, the beauty of cherry blossom starts from south to north. the splashes of white and pink covers the grassland, mountains and river. One of my friend told me that the most amazing moment is the flower pedal falls, called (櫻花雪) sakura snow... sorry i am not so sure it's the right translation. Please correct me if it's not.

The patching floral paper on this drawing, is from a very precious Japanese craft paper collection. They are all embossed with different seasonal theme. I love them and very hard for me to have a cut on it.

Finally, i consider to turn this drawing and prints add on into a card. It is still blank inside. I really wish one day this card can be sent to the family mentioned above...

our early spring

Hello from the warm side of continent, i am awake :)
Sorry that i haven't successfully post anything here due to an error occured on photo posting since January.   Perhaps someone can give me an answer.

Anyway, i wish to share some of the pic i took in Feb, is our Chinese New Year. It marks after winter solstice, we'd great family union on meals. This year falls on the 10th Feb, 2013, the year of Snake.

Before ended up my writing, a belated greetings for my bloggers, a healthy Snake year!
Some sweet moment to share, it's Chinese Valentine's Day (元宵節) a day before and i cooked this for my hubby.

Tang-yuan, sweet dumplings with black sesame ( 湯圓)

I add my personal favour which the small plate hold: Osmanthus (桂花). I already added into another boiling bowl filled with water & ginger, then add this dried flower and finally with the rock sugar or dark brown sugar. It has an attractive warm fresh charming fragrance. According to some readings, it serves efficiency of cough, phlegm and health lungs, and relieve dry mouth and gastrointestinal discomfort.
On the other side, wait until it's fully cooked in another saucepan to avoid the leakage of black sesame fillings.
The sweet dumplings, Tang-yuan homophonic family union, symbolize unity and happiness.
I remember on the same day of Chinese Valentine's day, is also a teddy bear event in UK, i read a post ,
which makes my day. Thank you.

this is a posting, a day after the 21st of this month.
it supposed nothing happens afterwards, when most people believed it's the doomsday.
as usual, there are things piled up already, so we still need to work, and we all wish to have a break for some gathering and relax.
i believe when there is a start, there must be a time come to the end, all we can do is be responsible of a duty, stay positive and satisfy what we have.
and yes, it's the date of my old buddy's birthday, the date of submission on Toby's Award, party and performance....
once more, is bear Rafa comes to live in the current issue of Teddy Bear & Friends, he's the same size as the real one, i am pleased to see this.

a new year is coming, many of us have plans for our future, have a dream of living in a warm and caring future. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

walking in the autumn times

is the first day of November, we do nothing for the Halloween yesterday, how about you?
My family and i have a walk to the nearest country park a week ago at the Chung Yeung Festival.
On that day, the weather was sunny and warm. We are very pleased to see the top part of the waterfall.
the stream water is so clear and pure. Then we spent time in the middle of the stream, the water is so cool, some adult bring their tea leaves and use the stream water, boiling hot tea there and some kids even do fishing there.
Here are some findings on the way through. I just bring one of my furry friend, Florentia with me.
Can't believe she's so energetic, see, even climbing up the rock.

If you recognize her face, she's my last experiment on wool felting experiment. Actually is a merino wool and alpaca rooting on her muzzle. I add a semi transparent acrylicon her embroidered nose to have a contrast against the natural material. I made her a tiny leather bag, she can collect some dry leaves for future use.
Not sure you like this... She belongs to my collection of Potpourri.
I like the density of orange and mustard color mixed with brownsss. Hope to show you more in the later days.
P.S. Florentia picked up some nice flower, Gordonia, which is blooming all over the mountain.
